Highclere Castle Book Club · A special recording

Jeffrey Archer in Conversation

with Lady Carnarvon, recorded at his home in London on 29 September 2026

Jeffrey Archer, one of the world's best-selling authors, welcomed Lady Carnarvon into his London home to record this Book Club conversation. He died unexpectedly on 5 October, a few days after filming. Book Club recordings are normally reserved for Friends of Highclere. We felt this one should be open to everyone who enjoyed his books, so it is free to watch in full. No login or membership is needed.

Lady Carnarvon is incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining, I absolutely love the Friends on Friday videos.

I signed up so I could go to the Summer Garden Party, and I’m hooked on the immersive videos that let you explore the rooms while Lady Carnarvon brings them to life.

Taking part in the livestream was fantastic, I felt like part of the family, saw rooms that are not on the tour and chatted to Lady Carnarvon.

It’s such a wonderful way to stay connected with Highclere all year long.
