Lady Carnarvon Invites Friends & Patrons To Stay In The Lodges
We are delighted to offer you, early access to stay in our much-loved cottages, London Lodge and Grotto Lodge.
Both Lodges are now available to book through the calendars on our main website once you have logged into your account. London Lodge is available for two-night stays, while Grotto Lodge is available for three-night stays.
About the Lodges:
London Lodge
In 1793, Colonel Henry Herbert was created the 1st Earl of Carnarvon by King George III. To celebrate, he commissioned the construction of an impressive entrance to his beautiful Park at Highclere: London Lodge. We have now lovingly and completely restored this historic building, transforming it into a charming and comfortable Lodge for a two-night stay. The property comprises two wings, including a double bedroom.

Grotto Lodge
Grotto Lodge is a charming and characterful building, designed by the Victorian architect Thomas Allom and built approximately 150 years ago. Allom was assistant architect to Sir Charles Barry, the architect responsible for Highclere Castle. The Lodge has two double bedrooms, one on each floor above the sitting room and kitchen, making it a wonderful base from which to enjoy the Highclere Estate and the surrounding area.
